Don Griffin – Standing Alone

Playing over 250 dates a year clearly helps keep Don Griffin's lightning fast fingers and incredible sense of blues structure well intact. Don mines a deep, dark, gritty style that reflects his (over 40) years of road-tested showmanship. He has shared the stage with Junior Wells, Son Seals and Buddy Guy, and is considered a "living legend" in that blues paradise known as Chicago, USA. On this, his second CD, Don is joined by bass player Johnny B. Gayden (ex Albert Collins) and drum-meister Ray "Killer" Allison (ex Buddy Guy) as they generate eleven varied (and always smokin') original songs that lock on your hips and get them rocking unconsciously.
