Don Griffin – Bad Bad Man

Going solo after his time with The Hounds (recorded on Columbia) and The Griff Band, Don has produced a CD that will delight those who dig blues rock that's performed with interesting and varied arrangements, terrific vocals, whip-lash guitar (if you love the instrument, you will love Don), and one of the world's top rhythm sections. The influences in evidence here are Johnny Winter, Hound Dog Taylor, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie King and Buddy Guy, yet the sense is not one of pretension, and the feel is his own blistering blues rock. Six of nine are original compositions from Don, who graduated with a degree in music from Lewis University. Scorching guitar wizardry.
