Various – Blues Live & Alive – DVD
If you didn't see them live, this gets very close.
A group of blues fans who also happened to be movie professionals, filmed the performances of a set of American bluesmen who stormed through Europe at the end of the 20th century and the start of the 21st.
Here are the stalwarts who, without much fanfare, keep the blues alive. Stars like Sherman Robertson, Lonnie Shields, Otis Grand and Larry Garner who take gigs where they can - and give of their best every time. If greater fame has eluded them it certainly isn't because of lack of talent or commitment.
