R&B Hell Raisers Volume 1, is a new concept series from Koko Mojo Records and features thirty bawdy Rhythm & Blues titles focusing on; drinking, drugs, relationships, sex, murder, and incarceration. The King of alcohol and wild living Wynonie Harris is given the honour of sandwiching twenty-eight songs between his opening title Quiet Whiskey which sub-titles the album and the overtly sexual closing song She Just Won't Sell No More. For the lovers of the liquid which alters your perspective, you will hear as a taster; Jimmy Witherspoon's Drinkin' Beer, Herb Fisher's Wine, Wine, Wine, Amos Milburn indulging in Vicious, Vicious Vodka, Joe Morris and Mr Stringbean asking the barmaid to Pass The Juice Miss Lucy, and Thurston Harris besides being an excellent artist sings about another thing in life he was good getting high during (I Got Loaded At) Smokey Joe's. Eddie Boyd has encountered the Blue Coat Man, The Hi-Fidelities holler and screams that things have gone too far during Help Murder Police, The Five Keys plea Come Go My Bail, Louise, but for The Falcons it is already too late and they are Sent Up. Some of the gentlemen are having problems with their partners; Gene Phillips has a Punkin' Head Woman, and Smiley Lewis is telling Miss Roxy she is a Shame, Shame, Shame, while Lowell Fulson begs of his lady Don't Be So Evil.
