Boone Creek's second album One Way Track showcases the stunning instrumental skills of a young Ricky Skaggs, as well as his compatriots Jerry Douglas and Terry Baucom. The three musicians blend on tight, thrilling harmonies, but where they really shine is on their rampaging instrumentals, where they demonstrate their virtuosity. The emphasis on playing makes One Way Track a little uneven, yet when digested in small, individual bits, the album is quite enjoyable.
