Reviews:
1. AllMusic - Scott Yanow
Although he still struggled to keep his orchestra together, Dorsey during 1949-50 often returned to his roots, leading a small contingent out of his big band that he termed "the Original Dorseyland Band." The seven-piece group, featuring Charlie Teagarden's trumpet, trombonist Frank Rehak, Artie Lyons on tenor and Dorsey mostly on clarinet but also on alto is heard on these transcriptions playing a variety of Dixieland tunes in spirited fashion.
