Description

Artists famous and totally unknown recorded Hanks songs and the series focus is on the more up-tempo songs, naturally some slow songs must be included and some of these have been rocked up in tempo. The following volumes will also offer something different as we explore through the three albums the legacy of Hank Williams. Rockin' Chair Money is the traditional album being entrenched in real Country and Western, Honky Tonk, Gospel and Bluegrass music. All but one song was part of Hank's repertoire, and the groundbreaking performers include; Jimmy and Leon Short, Johnny Duncan, Bill Carlisle, Marvin Rainwater, Curley Williams, Don Gibson, Porter Wagoner, Skeets McDonald, Bill Monroe and more. The album ends with a heartfelt tribute from Johnnie & Jack and The Tennessee Mountain Boys. The sleeve notes will offer information on the artists and where applicable the session information for Hank Williams recording of the song. To add extra interest two songs will feature throughout the set, with the aim of seeing how songs were used in music history, and how hear the different interpretations. The two songs were intrinsic in the Hank Williams Song Book, and the informative sleeve notes will explain the history of the two songs. Our albums have; stunning design, sleeve notes, 28 songs, mastered for the best possible sound available. A Mansion On The Hill’ spoedig verandering in.
Williams’ eerste hit ‘Move It On Over’ krijgt een prachtige vertolking door Johnnie & Jack and the Tennessee Mountain Boys.
Will Live Forever (In People’s Hearts)’.
?Hank Williams was undoubtedly the greatest artist in the country genre. Not only was he a formidable performer, but also a super talented songwriter. His songs have been and are still being covered by many artists. Compiler Mark Armstrong collected 28 of those covers on this volume 1. Awesome edition!
