Various – Bronze Christmas

Back in the day that the term ‘bronze’ was used in the USA to describe African Americans. In other words, it was a synonym of negro, black, sepia, colored etcetera. After trying all this names, I titled this collection ‘Bronze Christmas’ because ‘Black Christmas’ was too obvious and has baan largely used for many similar projects. Aftershort research I even found a horror movie of the same title, so I decided to call this album ‘Bronze Christmas’ to avoid any possible misunderstanding. Nevertheless, this compilation is alla bout ‘Black Christmas’ and black folks singing about Christmas, New Year’s Eve and all that jazz. I selected some of my favouritetunes by ‘bronze’ artists guaranteed to make your Christmasmaybe a little white but merrie rand with a whole lot of extra soul. …
