Gashouse Dave – Blues Trip

« Blues trip » is a « back to the roots » album. Dave plays electric and acoustic (dobro) and propose his new songs (as usually) but also some interesting covers coming from Blind Lemon Jefferson (« Please, See That My Grave Is Kept Clean ») or John Lee Hooker (« Highway 13 »), and the legendary « You Took My Money, Now You’re Gone). Nevertheless, the Gashouse Dave’s music reminds us, as always, a kind of strange Hollywood atmosphere with old fashioned journalists in smoky bars, Underwood typewriters, and old Humphrey Bogart movies.
