Description

The classic 1985 studio album, remixed from the original session tapes plus bonus live tracks from the 1992 Tamines Blues Festival.

"It was the mid-1980s and suddenly the London blues scene was invigorated by the unexpected arrival of a great Chicago blues legend.... Eddie C. Campbell. It wasn't long before Eddie and I got together. He turned down my offer to manage him, but I arranged some nice stuff for him anyway. The album he did in Holland, some nice English gigs and European work through my contacts. And we did an album. For this release, I dug out the original multitrack session tapes, now 35 years old, and had them transferred to digital so we could work on the music safely without risking the tapes falling apart! This gave us a much more powerful mix, a completely new sound. Eddie is really strong of course, he plays that 'West Side' guitar style brilliantly. This album is complemented by four live tracks from the 1992 Tamines Blues Festival.
Eddie is in more of a standard blues mode, as you would expect from a live performance, but it's a great contrast and fits in really well. "
