Reviews:

1. AllMusic - Bruce Eder
Seventy minutes of Big Joe Williams' recordings in the prime of his life, from 1935 thru 1947, and in surprisingly good sound. Along with the original recording of "Baby Please Don't Go," and other highlights include "Little Leg Woman" and "49 Highway Blues" (with Henry "Too Tight Henry" Townsend on second guitar), his 1941 recordings of "Crawling King Snake," and "Throw A Boogie Woogie." The notes are sketchy but the session information is fair. Some of the material here was available paired off with John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson material on RCA's Throw a Boogiewoogie.
