VIc Juris – Blue

Vic Juris is hailed as one of the premier guitarists of the 21st Century with an undeniable command of the acoustic and electric guitar. He has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Phil Woods, Ron Carter, Sonny Stitt, Jimmy Smith, Michele LeGrand, Freddie Hubbard, Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughan, Eddie Jefferson, Joe Lovano, Nancy Wilson and countless others. Vic has been a member of the Davie Liebman group, the Gary Peacock quartet, Richard Galliano and the Rufus Reid’s Quite Pride large ensemble. He is also a master of the duo with partnering with Phil Woods, Larry Coryell and vocalist Kate Baker.
Vic has recorded over 25 albums as a leader which frequently appear in the Top 10 Jazz Charts. “A Second Look”, “Free Admission, “Walking on Water”, Blue Horizon, Night Tripper have all received critical acclaim.
The Vic Juris Trio with Adam Nusbaum and Jay Anderson has a wide reaching fan base with it’s innovative arrangements, brilliant originals and organic grooves crossing the boundaries from Jazz to World Music. They have an extraordinary ability to draw you in, with Vic’s use of space and time. The latest CD is being released September “Blue” on Steeplechase Records.
