 Al guitarrista y cantante Vance Kelly se le considera actualmente como ‘el futuro del blues contemporáneo de Chicago’ y, quienes así lo afirman no están nada equivocados. Vance tiene una gran capacidad de unir en una misma música el blues, el funk, e incluso las raíces de la ‘disco music’. Sus dedos recorriendo el mástil tienen habilidad, rapidez y la precisión suficiente como para dejar una profunda impresión en quien le escucha. Este álbum es una recopilación de diferentes sesiones grabadas durante los años 1987, 1994, 1998, 1999, 2008 y 2011, junto a cuatro nuevas canciones no aparecidas hasta el momento. En cada una de estas sesiones Kelly está acompañado por diferentes músicos, entre los que cabe destacar a Billy Branch a la armónica, Eddie Shaw al saxo, o John Primer a la guitarra, pero hay que hacer hincapié en que todos los músicos que participan están impecables, cada sesión suena perfectamente ensamblada, bien grabada y con una excelente producción. Vance dirige perfectamente cada una de las sesiones y construye una arquitectura musical bien cimentada sobre unos pilares sólidos y efectivos, totalmente creíbles y compactos. Un buen disco. BUENSIMO.

Singer and guitar player Vance Kelly is now considered as 'the future of contemporary Chicago blues' and those who say this are not wrong. Vance has an amazing ability and a tasteful technique that enables him to mix into the same kind of music different styles like blues, funk, and even disco music roots. His fingers sliding along the guitar neck have skill, speed and precision enough to produce a deep impression in everyone who listens to him. The album is a compilation of some sessions recorded during the years 1987, 1994, 1998, 1999, 2008 and 2011, plus four previously unreleased songs. Kelly is backed by a bunch of very good musicians, such as Billy Branch on harp, Eddie Shaw on saxo or John Primer on guitar. Anyway we should specially mention all the musicians involved, because they do a faultless work and every recording session sounds perfectly teamed, well recorded and with an excellent final production too. Vance leads the whole sessions with authority and he builds a solid effective musical architecture over a firmly rooted basis, which makes the album become a true compact good piece of work. GREAT.
