Artist Biography - Charlotte Dillon
Tina Adair first began to perform on-stage for large audiences when she was only three-years-old. By the time she was eight, she had already spent time in a recording studio, impressing all those who heard the finished project. Tina, a singer and songwriter, plays both the fiddle and mandolin. She has traveled and performed regularly with her family band the Bluegrass Edition. Other members are guitarists and vocalists Keith Adair and Tom Perkins, bassist Debra Adair, and to round things out, Jerry Adair on the banjo. In 1997, a young Tina released a debut bluegrass album, Just You Wait & See. It was recorded under the Sugar Hill Records label and carries tracks like "By the Time It Gets Dark," "These Tears," "Some People's Lives," "Midst of the Morning Rain," and "Crazy Love." Tina had a number of great musicians help out on this first offering, including Charlie Cushman on banjo, Alan O'Bryant and Keith Little as background vocalists, Chris Thile on mandolin, Bryan Sutton on guitar, Viktor Krauss on bass, and Aubrey Haynie on fiddle. Grammy Award holder Jerry Douglas added Dobro and served as producer. That is a pretty impressive lineup for a first recording.
